I enjoyed reading input on providing technology-related professional development that prepares the teacher to bring technology into the classroom and to effectively use it, not just display it in class. I believe that the best way to get teachers to start using technology in ways that will interest and involve students is to provide professional development that brings teachers into technology of the 21st century and teaches them a variety of ways to use the technology. I was glad to see professionals in the field suggesting the same things. I look forward to the day this happens in Texas public schools across the state.
